The beat is excellent. Sounds like professional. I like the mood of this track as well, and sort of the slow, laid-back yet mildly sinister vibe. I'd like to hear some vocals on this one day. It's short as well, but I guess that's how hip-hop goes, it's kinda loop-ey. Wish I could say more but not my usual genre to review, I've never made hip-hop so I don't know what goes into producing it but I'd say you did a good job.

I like the overall vibe, just seems a bit muddy on the low end, could be my speakers though. My biggest gripe is that it's so short! and it ends abruptly in my opinion. That said, I like the instrument choices and the melody is uplifting. I think with some more work this could be a banger.

I'm glad to hear this considering it's one of my first songs. Another song I would like to remake later in my music journey!

OK sorry for taking so long to get to this. Not bad, I like hip hop but don't often review it. Has a chill vibe, which I like. I probably don't review hip-hop a lot because I'm not so keen on the details as a genre (what makes it good). That said, this sounds very well-produced. Good use of the loops and a nice beat to go with it.

Congrats on the front page. Not my usual genre, but I'll give it a go. Percussion and synths are tight. It has a nice groove to it and I like the different sections of the track. Like I said I don't usually listen to dubstep but this is nice. At 1:44 this part is absolutely beautiful. I really don't know what else to say.... well done.

Thanks for taking the time to do a review. This is one of only a few dubstep songs I've done and well... I've been doing it my way :)

I saw your forum post. So here are my thoughts....It sounds rather minimalistic, not a bad thing. Sounds like 3 instruments, pad, bass and synth, then another instrument comes in, almost like a distant guitar. Then a little glitch and it fades out. The melody the synth is nice, the pad sounds lush, and the song as a whole has the feeling of an outro, maybe what you intended, almost like a scene from a video game. I can imagine the "drifting away" as the title suggests. Room for improvements? Yeah. The opening could be a fade-in instead of starting at full volume, this will ease listeners into the track better. Maybe could use some subtle panning as well to give the track more atmosphere. The part that starts around 1:17 could be longer, maybe extended a bar or two, I actually enjoyed this part the most but the song feels incomplete because it ends so quickly.

Overall: Not bad, could use a little more work though. But an enjoyable atmospheric piece.

Thanks for the review man :)
It was kind of late when I was composing this so that could be why the track is pretty short, Other than that thanks for the kind words :)

I like the into and what it turns into. This is a very light-hearted and cheerful track. The melody is simple yet uplifting. I would like to hear a counter-melody or a backing synth to go along with the main melody just to give it a little more variation besides the risers and other touches you added. Nice track just a tad repetitive despite the transitions.

This is a very fun track to listen to! Intriguing really, the transition at around 1:28 is remarkable, this whole section has a classical feel and though it is different then the stabbing percussion that precedes it, it still fits well within the track. The track goes on to mix classical elements with the throbbing house beat. Also I would say I'm getting a bit of Asian vibes here with the melody. I didn't read you're whole text, sorry being lazy but I really enjoyed this one.

Hello! I first posted my tracks ten years ago as well, so I figured I'd write a review. Not my usual listening style, don't get me wrong I do like electronic but mostly synthwave, darkwave, and IDM. To the review ---- Production quality seems good, I like the beat but the song overall is a bit on the repetitive side. The added in vocal snippets aren't bad. I'd say this could have went in multiple directions but failed to do so. That said, good use of transition techniques I just wish there was more going on, maybe add some more synths, melodies, counter-melodies, etc. Percussion sounds good. My favorite parts are when the synth leads come in. On second listen I'd say this was enjoyable, notwithstanding all my gripes. Happy Holidays!

Zizmo responds:

Understandable, I can see it getting a little repetitive at times, and had thought of adding variance in the bassline from time to time even. I opted for the 'less is more' minimal-techno kind of vibe as that was the original intent and focused on a tight mixdown. To be honest I just kind of wanted to have a "cyberpunk" type of song under my belt, I've always kind of been into really darker/deeper electronic tunes so I wanted to make the percussion parts and airy breathy parts more intimate and be in the limelight more. Anytime I forced myself to add more melodic stuff I felt it took away the 'grit' to me as I couldn't come up with anything I was too happy with. I do totally see all of your points though, some being partially intentional and appreciate you leaving a review and a score! Happy holidays to you too man!

I do have this track as well if you use Soundcloud and want to check this one out if you are into that Synthwave kind of vibe!

I love the intro...kind of spooky. Then it gets heavy, sounds like it could be music in a platform fighting game, like you're character is walking through the streets kicking butt! The riffs are very catchy. I think an extended version is in order. It's good as is as an intro though. I like your guitar skills, I might take you up on that collab offer sometime soon! I'm always looking to add guitar to my tracks. Had my first collab with a guitarist which I will release next month. You're talented man, keep it up!

FarFromSundown responds:

Thanks man! Yes, definitely feel free to hmu anytime about a collab and I'm sure we could work on something together! looking forward to hearing your current collab too!

Love it! definitely catches the feel of bye bye, c u later
