This sounds nice. I get knocked for my fake strings from time to time, but hey it's what we got. Maybe it could be a bit more dramatic towards the end (maybe also add more percussion), it has a reserved quality to it, but then again I don't know what kind of game this is for.

Manhart responds:

Yeah you are right, the quality isn't too great, but then I would have to learn how to play the different strings myself xD Also, the file would have been too large if I rendered it to a version with a higher bitrate... Haha... It was intended for a RPG game.
I could try and make it more dramatic towards the end!
But thanks for the review, I really appreciate it!

Good stuff. I especially like the change at 2:13

EagleGuard responds:

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

Pretty good, just could use some more complexity on the guitars.

Twoshiny responds:

Thanks for the feedback, yeah I agree with you. I'll find the balance, I've made over complex guitar stuff in the past hahaha.

I love the feel of this song and the instruments sound nice. Sounds like this would be a good intro into another track. I do hear the LOTR influence

Halindir responds:

Thank you very much cyan traveller, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I like the melody, just not sure if I'm too fond of the notes on the high register. Also not sure the title is appropriate -- this song didn't make me feel sad or depressed at all..

Conquestus responds:

Yeah, the name is kind of irritating... I planned it to be depressing... But it seems that I simply were to happy as I made this. Anyway it's bether to hear something bright to cheer up, as to sink into misery, so this turns out to be a little trap... One of the good ones (at least I hope so)

Very Nice. Reminds me of Kento Masuda

This piece reminds me alot of some of Kento Masuda's work. Check out his youtube channel if you haven't heard of him. Anyways, this has a nice classical feel to it, like being in the great hall of a castle.

Jonah-B responds:

Never heard of Kento Masuda. I'll check him out. Thanks!

Nice WIP, I look forward to the finished product

When I listen to this I can just hear in my head all kind of different synths that could have been there... This song has a nice simple, chill vibe to it it. I'm sure I will rate this higher when this is finished, this is why I usually don't review wips. Maybe you can try changing up the guitar chords a little bit and add another instrument, a lead maybe. I'll leave it to you though, not sure what direction you are looking to go with this song...

xxxZigZagxxx responds:

Thanks bro. I'll try to finish this. I'll add some synths too hopefully. A lead would be very nice, and changing up the chords could prove useful. But thank you for all your suggestions! I will keep them in mind :)

Not bad

I like the composition, though it sounds very familiar. Would like to hear this with a classical instrumentation (or different synths), it sounds very video-gamey with these synths. Is that your voice? it's pretty.

Smad responds:

Oh yeah, actually I originally composed this piece on piano. The assignment was to create instrument sounds from scratch (no pre-sets) using only subtractive synthesis in Logic Pro's ES-1. A kind of exercise in limited composition.

I'm glad it sounds video-gamey, that's what I wrote my reflective analysis and aesthetic explanation about. XD

And yes, that is my voice, thank-you. :P

Nice song

Simple melody, fitting for background music. I like it when the synth kicks in at about 1:50, I was waiting for something to happen in this song, and there it was. Overall an enjoyable piece with a video game feel to it (when the retro synths come in), nothing particularly wrong with this piece, it suits the mood that the title describes. I like to hear songs like this, especially since I'm not into trance/dance/techno/house/dubstep and those types of music. Good work

JosepWh responds:

Hey thanks for your review!
You might like my other songs called Guitarelax and In The Dessert! Check em out.
