I like the lofi elements. The layering is pretty cool, by the 1:20-ish part I was hoping to hear the addition of another synth, like maybe something on the high end. I think this has potential, but could use some more layering. Towards the end there's some effects added, and I think it suits the ending, so kudos there.

alterstat responds:

alright thanks

I like the ambiance and the crystal-like synth. I wish this just stayed as an ambient track. When the other synths come in, it seems as the song would transform, but it really doesn't stay that way for too long, then dead silence?? and some kind of reverse speech. A bit odd of an ending, and this track has some real potential, my favorite is the first 30 sseconds. The phased beat is okay but like I said this part has no continuity. IDK, I like it but think it could use some work, a revisit, or even a remix.

TrailMixerGD responds:

I could add some more variation, maybe add some other melodies or leads to make less repetitive, but I agree that it does fall off towards the ending

I really like the chill, dreamy feel. Fitting title! it's such a warm, calm piece. I'm not sure if that static in the background is intentional, it's not that bad, but just my preference that it not be there. but it does add a lo-fi element. Overall this invokes positive vibes and I really dig it. Not sure if this is hip-hop, maybe just because of the beat? but anyways I don't really care about genres. Only real complaint I have is the super-abrupt ending. The closing could have been a lot better in my opinion, and it's not that hard of a fix, just end on a note and let it ring out with maybe a high hat.

NitroOrient responds:

Thank you!

Righteous! Love it. Makes me want to pick up the guitar again but I sold all mine. Solid piece my friend.

FarFromSundown responds:

Thank you!

Not bad for being relatively new to making music. Production quality is actually pretty good. The piece is enjoyable as well. I can’t help but feel like something is missing, like maybe on the high end. Either that or the mix seems unbalanced towards the low end. But compositionally, I like it. I wasn’t knowing what to expect, and this was a pleasant surprise.

EgorPLAYbel responds:

first comment ever, lol. thank you for estimating! I'll try to work on the things you mentioned.

Love this! The production quality is so good!

FarFromSundown responds:

Thank you! I always loved this mix

Gorgeous composition. It sounds lovely. You are a true composer, this sounds straight out of an epic movie, like in a time of peace. I'm interested in the album when it's ready, just needs a mastering from what I can tell, the waveform suggest its not fully mastered. Still sounds great though. Anything less than 5 stars is a travesty in my opinion, classical gets a lukewarm reception here I don't know why. I really cannot say anything negative about this track. I love it.

AceMantra responds:

Thanks for listening and the kind words! I'll be sure to make an announcement when the album is ready.

Yeah! I dig this a lot since I'm into cyberpunk. It's got a nice pace and variety, production sounds good too. I'm floored that you got no votes. I really, really dig this track. Beats are good, love the synths. Ending was a bit meh but not a deal breaker.

guiltlesslmfao responds:

Yeah, usually the mostly non-melodic techno stuff I make don’t get much attention though I feel like I know what I’m doing more with those. Anyways, it’s been like four months since I’ve made this track and I’ve definitely mastered my skills with this genre more. Glad you liked it!

I love the water effect. These keys sound beautiful, along with the pad/strings. Drums sound a little muddy, but I like the beat. I like the flute that comes in, though it does seem a bit subdued. Beautiful melody though. Nice percussive touches that come in (chimes/marimba)? This is a very dreamy track, and I like it.

SomeGuyMusic responds:

I actually have a better mixed version of this song where it isn't as muddy but the arrangement is the same. This: https://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/1120086

I hear some light clipping in the beginning. I like the piano and the strings that come in. Drums are a little underwhelming, I feel like they need to pop more. And definitely need some light reverb. The mix seems a bit muddy to the point where the beautiful pianos get drowned out by the excessive bass/vocal pad. The ending is nice. Composition-wise, I like it a lot. I do feel like you can definitely tighten it up more though. For that, I give 4/5

SomeGuyMusic responds:

I honestly wish this was a song I came up with later on because it had so much potential to be super good. Unfortunately I didn't have my mixing skills nor music theory knowledge at the time among other skills. The clipping is what upsets me the most as I really wanted the best for this song. I might fix it later down the road since I think it could sound really cool and epic. I'm still glad you enjoyed it overall!
